On 18 October 2012, we had the wonderful opportunity of performing a new work with the English Touring Opera. Towards an Unknown Port by Helen Chadwick, is based on poems by children, some from Terezin concentration camp, others who lived through the bombardment of Sarajevo in the mid 1990s. The work formed part of an evening which also included Viktor Ullmann’s The Emperor of Atlantis, also written in Terezin. You can read more about the production on the English Touring Opera website.
The pictures below were taken in rehearsal in the music block at Chesterton Community College and during the dress rehearsal at West Road Concert Hall.
