Making Magic brought together scenes from magical operas from The Magic Flute to Hansel and Gretel in one, exciting performance. We transported our audience to a wonderful world of strange fairies, wicked witches, lost lovers, naughty children and brilliant birds. The music included works by Rimsky Korsakoff, Weber, Purcell, Mozart, Humperdinck and more.

As well as charming our audience, the workshops and rehearsals introduced our singers to new musical worlds, in preparation for our flagship production of Hansel and Gretel, planned for 2020.

The single performance took place on 24 March 2019, at the Storey’s Field Centre, Eddington. We are grateful to Miller’s Music for supplying the piano for the event and to all those who supported us so generously, making the evening a huge success in every way.
